Scope: This project involved re-lighting and adding energy management devices for over 500,000 square feet in a working hospital. Naturally, all hospital functions had to be maintained throughout the five month project. A limited budget added to the challenge. Working hand in hand with all team members, Radec personnel were able to complete this extremely difficult job with no disruption to the day-to-day activities of the hospital.

Scope: Radec provided the electrical expertise on this renovation of the 12,500 square foot Adult Psychiatric Unit which includes eighteen patient rooms, two group activity rooms with a kitchen, a group therapy area, exam rooms and a family visiting area.

GENEVA GENERAL HOSPITAL
Scope: Finger Lakes Health undertook this multi-phased expansion and renovation of the Hospital’s main campus. The project consisted of 106,000 square feet of new construction and 45,000 square feet of renovations, including a new expanded emergency department, and new expanded intensive care unit, new state-of-the-art operating rooms and a phased conversion of rooms to 100% private rooms. Utilities and departments were relocated, and a whole building demolished all as the hospital campus remained fully operational.

St. John’s Home
Scope: This three year project involved renovation of all existing areas as well as several new additions to the main building. New fire alarm, nurse call and main electrical distribution through the existing facility were replaced without disruption to the staff or residents. To accommodate the scheduling needs of the home, manpower has shifted from as few as four to over 25 electricians at various times during the project. Radec provided the number of workers with the required expertise when needed to help to contribute to the success of this major project.
LAKESIDE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OB/GYN WING
Scope: Lakeside Memorial Hospital updated their facility with the new construction of a temporary OB/GYN wing in order to renovate the existing OB/GYN wing. Construction took place adjacent to a fully functioning uninterrupted operating room. Renovations included the nurses’ station, patient rooms, waiting rooms and and a nursery. This project won the 2007 Construction Specifications Institute Outstanding Project Award.

JEWISH HOME OF ROCHESTER
Scope: Radec played a key role in the successful completion of this 362-bed nursing home facility that is part of the Jewish Senior Life campus in Rochester. It is designed to provide various levels of long term care, transitional care, outpatient rehabilitation and hospice care to its residents.
Slocum-Dickson Outpatient Medical Center
New Hartford, NY
Scope: Marshall Erdmann & Associates, specialists in health care planning, development, design, engineering and construction for over 50 years, chose Radec as the electrical contractor for the Slocum Dickson Outpatient Medical Center after working with us on a previous fast-track facility. This project added 40,000 square feet in three stories in an existing 77,000 square foot building. With safety, value and quality workmanship of paramount importance, the project managers knew they could count on Radec to come through for them. Naturally, we did. As a result, we were asked to do additional work in the hospital.
